Interact Social Media Contract and Parent/Guardian Approval Form The following is a set of expectations regarding the social media involvement that Interact members are invited to be a part of but not required to partake in. In participating in Interact, you as a member and parent of a member are in agreement with the terms and conditions of appropriate communication involving Interact events and activities. All communication must be: 1. 2. 3. Transparent: All communication between students and staff will be transparent: openness, visibility, and accountability. Accessible: All electronic communication between staff and student members should be considered a matter of record, part of the district archives, and/or may be accessible by others. Professional: All electronic communication involving Interact will be professionally represented. This includes word choices, tone, grammar, and subject matter that model the standards and integrity of District 95. Always choose words that are courteous, conscientious, and generally business like in manner. Communication Methods: Remind 101: All club updates and meeting reminders will be sent to student’s personal cell phones through a mass text messaging system called Remind 101. It is up to the student’s discretion if they would like to receive these messages, but it is highly recommended for members to be fully informed. District 95 Interact Webpage: If students are at events, there may be pictures taken that are posted on the District 95 Interact Webpage. Text Messaging: Students may use their mobile devices to communicate with other Interact members regarding events, times, locations and/or to arrange rides. The only Interact members permitted to have access to the sponsors’ personal cell phone numbers are the elected officers. The only times permitted to contact a sponsor is to communicate officer meetings, event information and/or emergencies. Twitter: Students may follow Interact on twitter in order to be notified of volunteer opportunities and meeting reminders Interact Facebook Page: The Interact Facebook Group will be run by the current elected Interact officers. All information on the page will pertain to Interact and will be available and open to the public. Other: Interact is allowed to use photographs taken of the members during volunteer events at fundraisers, freshman activity night, and presentations to the Rotary Club of Lake Zurich solely for the publicity of the club. Interact members and parent/guardians hereby agree to these terms and conditions that will be used among Interact Club members and sponsors. Parent/guardian consent is permitting their student to participate in the above social media communication that is open to all members but is not required.
