Additional comments: Membership objected to language contained in the first sentence "make every effort."
Recommended changes: Haratnell College will support efforts to register students who wish to vote before
each county, state, or federal election.
In the 3rd bullet point there was concern about "on Constitution Day" in case Constitution Day fell on a weekend
or holiday. Suggested changes: "A voter registration rally will take place every year in conjunction with
Constitution Day."
-The Student Affairs Council approves of the AP with the above recommended revisions.

Hartnell College will make every effort to register students who wish to vote before
each county, state, or federal election.
Voter registration forms will be available at the following campus locations:
• A link to the California Secretary of State Office and Monterey County Elections
Office will be available on the Hartnell College student registration system (PAWS) and
on the website. At this site, students can download a Voter Registration form. The
links to these sites will also be published in the Hartnell College Class Schedule,
Catalog and Student handbook.
• Voter Registration forms will be available in the Office of Student Life, Admissions
and Records office, Financial Aid office, Department of Supportive Programs and
Services, the Alisal Campus and King City Center.
• A voter registration rally will take place every year on Constitution Day.
The Director of Student Life will be the primary point of contact for the Secretary of State
Office and/or the Monterey County Elections Office.
