Dear Sarah Adams 3rd grade parents,
Your 3rd grade student is about to be offered a wonderful opportunity! District 95 offers
instruction on string instruments at the beginning of fourth grade. The time to consider this
option for your student is NOW!
On Wednesday, May 18th, I will be meeting with all Sarah Adams third grade students to
demonstrate the four instruments of the orchestra that are taught in fourth grade: violin,
viola, cello, and bass. You will have the opportunity to allow your child to try out these
instruments one-on-one, by signing and returning the permission slip I send home that day.
Mark your calendars for Thursday, May 26th, 7:00 p.m. at Isaac Fox. I would like to meet
with you and your student that evening to answer any questions you may have about Orchestra
in District 95. This is the official enrollment night for 4th grade Orchestra in the fall.
Please take the time to look over the pamphlet coming home next week outlining our Orchestra
program. I’m excited about showing string instruments to Sarah Adams third grade students,
and looking forward to meeting you and your third grader!
