WHAT WE’VE BEEN LEARNING
• We have spent much time on getting to know
each other and becoming comfortable.
• School Tour with the help of Pete the Cat.
• Learning daily routines like morning locker
procedures and attendance.
• Calendar and story time.
• Learning how to pass papers to our table mates.
• Classroom rules, behavior, responsibility and
consequences.
• Pencil grips and right and left handed.
• Snack and opening milk cartons.
• First visits to the library.
• First visits to the gym.
• Finding our book box and the materials inside.
• Jolly Phonics - letters s, a and t.
• Sight words - I, a, in, the, and.
• Handwriting No More Tears
• Beginning assessment with Mrs. Dishkin
• Dealing with a very, very hot classroom!

Curriculum Night
It was so nice meeting all of you the other
night. I am sorry if I still get a little
confused with who belongs to who, but I will
get it straight in the very near future!
If you missed curriculum night, please send
me an email and I can send home the
information that was passed out that
evening. It is important information that
you will need for this kindergarten year.

Please remember to send an extra set of
clothes to be kept in the locker. Place them
in a plastic bag and label them with your
child’s name.
