It’s time to do some good with some of your gently loved items. Do you have some stuffed animals that could bring some cheer to another child? Do you have any books or toys that are a little too young for you now? Look around! We, the 5th Grade Family, are asking YOUR family to donate slightly used toys, books, and trinkets to our annual May Whitney Needy Family Sale. As part of an outreach program, May Whitney has adopted needy families in Lake County. The 5 th grade has taken on 1 needy family (of 3) that may not have a bright outlook for the upcoming holiday season. Our plan is to sell OUR treasures, take what money we earn and GO SHOPPIN’ for some new and exciting gifts for our adopted family. We hope to make them SMILE!
HERE’S THE DEAL:
Beginning Thursday, November 12, you can start bringing in your treasures. Gently loved stuffed animals, books and toys in good condition, are just a few great examples. We will sell our treasures on November 17, 18, 19 (T-Th) by taking turns throughout the classes. We will then meet up at Wal*Mart (after school) on Tuesday, 12/1
(the more the merrier) to get all the new gifts!
More info will follow.
So, go ahead…look around, talk to your family, and think about others! Happy cleaning! Can’t wait to see what we get!
