Remembrance Day
Remember it,
For it is a day that must truly be remembered.
These men died for us,
These men shed blood for us,
So let us show our respect and attention.
These men and women were
Fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
They all had hopes and dreams,
Just like us.
They were all normal people who had lives,
Just like us.
But it is what they did for their country, which makes them so heroic and honorable.
Life is given to you,
Yet it can also be taken away.
It is God, that decides.
Do not feel too sympathetic for these people,
Feel sympathetic for the fact that they have passed away,
And lost there lives in war.
But feel proud,
Now that they have done all that they could do,
And move on.
Now they can truly rest in peace.
Please do not take it for granted.
They are part of our history,
And our world.
They are a part of our country,
Part of us.
They had enough courage and will to fight.
Some saved others,
And risked their lives.
So this all I wish to say:
Remembrance day,
Remember it.
For it is a day that must truly be remembered.
