We will discuss the funding at the November meeting. -Mary Mark took care of school garden during summer. Many thanks to Mary for all her help! -Terry Fox walk – we will be supplying apples to the children after the walk. -Pizza lunches were modified this year. Other healthy alternatives were offered e.g. bananas, apples. -Mr Sub lunches– we will make 25 cents on each order. May consider charging 50 cents next order. -Milk orders – chocolate milk orders are down. Still looking for a replacement for L. Figliola for next year as this is her last year with the school council. -Mrs Grant organized a performance by Roseneath Theatre called ‘the Magic tree’. All kindergarten – grade 5 students will be able to see it. It costs $650 plus hst. School council agreed to pay for it. -School masses- discussion ensued regarding cost of bus trip to St. Joseph’s church. School will ask for $2 per child and the rest of the cost will be covered by school council. -Discussed purchasing a bunker for storage of kindergarten resources. School council may pay for half the cost of the bunker. -St. Gregory received the musical instruments for grade 7 & 8’s as planned. They will be shared with other schools (they’ll be circulated). There are 2 sets of electronic drums, one bass and 2 electric guitars, 2 mikes and an electric keyboard and amps per instrument. Program is called ‘musical futures’ (it is a movement to reshape music education driven by teachers for teachers). -Dairy farmers are coming in for all primary classes to present. -an inquiry was made regarding anaphylactic cases in school. May consider having Anaphylaxis Canada come to present to school. A.Neglia will get contact information.
