Practice Survey for Ocular Brachytherapy The American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) and the European Society for Therapeutic Radiation Oncology (ESTRO) are collaborating on a Task Group addressing recommendations for the practice of ocular brachytherapy. The report of Task Group 221 is planned to make recommendations for both photon-emitting and beta-emitting sources on commissioning, quality assurance, and treatment planning, among other topics. In tandem, the Task Group is conducting a survey to assess the current standard of care for medical physics practices in ocular brachytherapy. The survey is split into three parts: (1) photon-emitting sources, (2) beta-emitting sources, and (3) mixed-radionuclide sources. Please only complete those sections that are relevant to your practice, e.g., if your site only uses photonemitting sources, then you can bypass the other two parts by selecting “no” at the appropriate question. We expect completing any individual section of the survey to take approximately 15 minutes and data can be submitted anonymously.
