Break Down of Points on the AP Exam
o 90 points are available in the multiple choice section of the test
o Each question answered correctly will earn the student 1.125
points
o Goal for Multiple Choice: 40 or more correct*
o 90 points are available in the essay section of the test
o Essays are scored on a scale of 0-9
o Within the essay section of the test, the DBQ is weighted at

 Each point earned on the DBQ is actually worth 4.5
