Envelope Symbol Warm Ups:
As we read the novel, your table will be responsible to add to
your envelope daily. You will be looking for references in the
text where the symbol is mentioned, gathering evidence to
support the significance of the symbol in the work as a whole.
At the end of the novel, your table will teach a mini-lesson to
the class, examining the way in which Fitzgerald uses the
symbol and its significance to the novel. Your warm up grade
will be given daily for the evidence in this envelope. Figure
out how to ensure that each person is represented for the
work.
Daily you should add to the envelope:
-2-3 supporting quotes with page numbers
-at least 3 vocabulary words with definitions with page
numbers
