CAMPUS SECURITY REPORT FOR WEEK ENDING 02-21-15 REPORTED INCIDENTS Date Time Nature of Report Location 2/16/15 0800 Graffiti – Vandalism 2/17/15 1225 Assault with a deadly weapon (firearm) 2/18/15 1220 Grand Theft Building K Rm. 145 2/18/15 1525 Medical Assist Building C – Student Life Concrete wall between tennis courts and soccer field, and fencing located near the North-East of the parking garage. Town square bench, located near the rear exit of the college. (King City Campus) Details Graffiti was located at multiple locations on campus. On 2/17/15 at about 1225 hours, a shooting occurred to the rear of the King City campus. The suspect asked the victim “which gang are you in” before pulling out a gun and shooting him. The victim was able to escape and suffered non-life threatening injuries. The suspect fled the scene and police haven’t made any arrests in connection with the shooting. The shooting is being investigated as gang related. On 2/18/15 at about 1220 hours, a Hartnell instructor reported the theft of an i-Mac computer. The instructor stated he locked the doors on 2/17/15 at 1300 hours and returned on 2/18/15 at 0930 hours and noticed the missing computer. No unusual activity was seen in the area. A student was attempting to get on his bike when his leg gave out causing the student to fall. The student requested security to call for an ambulance. AMR responded and assessed the student before giving the student a ride to a local hospital. 2/19/15 1523 Petty Theft Building C – Cafeteria 2/20/15 1619 Vandalism – Possible Theft C- Wing Rm.213 (Alisal Campus) 2/20/15 1744 Petty Theft Building H (Girls Locker Rm.) A cafeteria employee noticed unusual behavior from several students in the cafeteria and reported it to Campus Security. After review of the surveillance footage one of the student is shown placing multiple items inside her purse. The identities of the students involved are still under investigation. A maintenance worker reported a cabinet that had been force open to security. It is unknown if items were taken from the cabinet at this time. A Salinas High School student reported leaving an I-phone 6, addidas tennis shoes, and a pair of blue jeans in a locker without a lock before she attended practice. After practice she returned to the locker and the items were missing.
