ST. AUGUSTINE S.S. GRADE 11 HEALTHY ACTIVE LIVING PPL 3O1 This course emphasizes participation in a variety of physical activities that promote lifelong healthy active living. Students will learn movement skills and principles, ways to improve personal fitness and physical competence, and safety and injury prevention. Students will investigate issues related to healthy sexuality, causes and solutions to abuse and violence, the nature and prevalence of mental health issues and stress, as well as coping mechanisms. Finally students will participate in activities designed to develop goal-setting, communication and social skills. Units of Study 1.
