Mr. Minardi Welcome back everyone. What a difference a year makes! I am so excited about our time together this year, so much that I can barely wait to launch our chaplaincy formation program with you. This year, we will continue to focus on prayer and community. We will do so through our monthly prayer groups for staff and students, as well as celebrating our faith through our liturgical expression. Also, we will continue to help evangelize the school community with our many events such as; school walk-a-thon for ShareLife, thanksgiving food drive, Remembrance Day services, overnight formation retreat, 24 Hour Fast, etc. My hope and prayer is that together, as a community of faith, we will continue to make present to our school community and to the world, the love and compassion of God. Also, through the intercession of St. Francis Xavier, that we may be that evangelizing voice to all people across all lands. God bless you! ST. Sure we collect re-useable paper on tuesdays and dispose of can and bottles in the blue bins but did you know we also collect pop tabs?! In the past, all the pop tabs we've collected have been sent to Erin Oak Hospital to be used for making wheelchairs for children who are physically challenged. This year EI will also be collecting used batteries in an attempt to dispose of them properly. The collection of batteries landfills increases the pH of the soil and makes it difficult for plants to grow. So if you would like to be proud of yourself and do something for the planet, and for the next generation of children please drop off the tabs from your pop cans and used batteries in the marked containers located in various spots in the cafe. 4 - Fall 2007 Page 5 - Fall 2007 TT V31.indd 5 ST.
