Kovacs A. Sodhi M. Remigio Msgr. E. Pan L. Papaloni T. Thomas L. del Rosario God, thank you for a new year. May everyone in our family be willing to begin anew with a clean slate. We know that you are always ready to forgive us. Help us to be willing to forgive ourselves and to forgive one another. As we begin a new year, remind us of our truest values and our deepest desires. Help us to live in the goodness that comes from doing what you want us to do. Help us to put aside anxiety about the future and the past, so that we might live in peace with you now, one day at a time. The New Year is always such a gift. It comes with the promise of hope and fresh beginnings. A chance to make those changes in our lives we have been putting off. As you make your New Year’s resolutions we hope you take some time to renew your Faith. The days will continue to be busy, and there will never be enough time to finish your “to do” list. But by making prayer a priority with your family, we can truly strengthen our relationship with God. With all our wishes for a wonderful New Year, K.Kovacs A. Once again, our families demonstrated that St. Veronica School is a caring community that serves the needs of others. Our Christmas Angel tree was a great success. St. Vincent de Paul Society was overwhelmed by our generosity. We were able to present many families with cash and gift card donations. It is on their behalf that we would like to thank you for your ongoing generosity. We would like to thank our Youth Faith Ambassadors who sold and delivered over 1000 candy cane-grams prior to the Christmas break. Over $1200.00 in gift cards was raised to support our families in need. Over $300 was raised with our Primary Christmas concert—Best Sets in the House! The Eco Schools Team have started tracking our Waste less Wednesday Lunches and our Lights Off Thursday initiatives. Our Eco Reps have been tracking our progress for the past few weeks and we have been doing a great job. Many classrooms have chosen to have lights off during the lunch hours! Great Job! We encourage parents and students to pack lunches on Wednesday ( and maybe every day) in Tupperware or reusable containers to help decrease our waste. We invite students to bring in drinks in reusable containers as well. If possible, any waste should be materials that can be recycled. Every classroom has both a blue and grey bin to recycle. January we will audit classrooms to ensure energy conservation and waste management initiatives are being met.
