From the Office of Principal Frank Scarcelli Dear parents and guardians, The Grade 12 World Issues class is hosting a Thanksgiving Food Drive. All our Students are encouraged to bring in any non-perishable food items such as canned meat/fish, children's snacks (juice boxes, granola bars, fruit cups, cheese & crackers, pudding cups) to their second period class during the week of Monday October 6th to Friday October 10th, 2014. All donated goods will be personally delivered to The Exchange which is a service center that helps individuals in our community who are in need. The area that we will be focusing on is nutrition and health. In addition, parents and guardians are also able to participate in the Thanksgiving Food Drive this Thursday night at Parent-Teacher Conferences from 5-8 pm by bringing in a canned good item and contributing to the bake sale that will be hosted by the Grade. 12 World Issues class. As well, the local media will be at our school on Friday October 10th to talk about this great cause for the community. This is a great opportunity for us, as a Catholic school family to give back and support our local community especially during this time of thanksgiving. This year, our motto is, “the Community, by the Community. Let’s all give thanks". St. Michael, as a Catholic school community, we want to start a new trend: challenge yourself and do your part in this amazing food drive. Thank you for your continued support and generosity, The Grade 12 World Issues class, Mrs. Della Mea’s class, Ms. Leggo and Ms. Ungaro
