AP Calculus (AB) Study Guide CONTENT: Test, Ch 6.4,6.5,7.2,7.3 No Calculators !!! You must know the following for this assessment: • 6.4 - Arc Length - be able to set up and evaluate an integral for arc length of a curve. • 6.5 - Surface Area of Revolution - be able to set up and evaluate an integral for arc length of a curve. • 7.1 Integration Techniques (basic review - old stuff but worthwhile to maybe take a quick look at formulas 1-14 to refresh your memory). • 7.2 Integration by Parts Method - Remember to use LIATE as a guideline for choosing u. Don't forget to review problems involving multiple applications of Integration by Parts as well as the cyclical/repeated integrals that require collection of like integrals to solve. If no method is specified, you may use tabular integration by parts however this method is NOT required for this test. • 7.3 Integration of powers of sine and cosine as well as integration of the product of powers of sine and cosine. You must be able to complete these integrations via the double angle reduction method and/or the Pythagorean replacement methodologies demonstrated in class. If no method is specified, you may use the power reduction formulas that we discussed in class but it will be up to you to remember the formula and apply it correctly. • DONE !!!
