Programs are offered on a drop-in basis
unless otherwise indicated.
Play and Learn
(Newborn to six years)
Parent/caregivers and children engage in various play based
activities . A variety of areas are available for exploration such
as; Water and Sand tables, Art Area, Nature table, Home Area,
and Puppets,
Music and movement activities are offered which include; action
songs, rhymes, Yoga and end with stories. We have outdoor
exploration and play time.
A healthy snack is provided.
NO registration is required
Mother Goose
(Newborn to 12 months)
Parents/caregivers and their babies learn songs, early learning
activities and stories. Parents/caregivers also get the
opportunity to network amongst each other.
NO registration is required
Region of Peel Family Literacy Program
(Newborn to six years)
An interactive 9 week program, offered every Monday
commencing April 15 to June 17, 2013. This program is offered
in partnership with the Region of Peel. This program is designed
to support activities that promote literacy and numeracy in the
home.

Family Story Time
(Newborn to six years)
Join us for stories, songs and action rhymes! The Family Story
Time program is offered in partnership with the Brampton
Library and focuses on the six important literacy skills for
children to develop reading and writing skills.
No registration is required

Speech and Language Pathologist *
Appointment Required
Do you have concerns about your child’s speech and language
development? Our Speech and Language Pathologist from
ErinoakKids is available once a month to do onsite
consultations. Each appointment is a 1/2 hour. To arrange an
appointment please speak with the Program Co-ordinator or
call 905-793-8900 ext. 52611.
Preschool Consultations *
Appointment Required
Do you have concerns about your child’s behaviour or does
your child have social and emotional challenges? Our Preschool
Consultant from Peel Children’s Centre is available to meet
with you to discuss strategies to assist you in your role as a
parent. Each appointment is one hour long. Appointments can
be booked with our Program Co-ordinator or call
905-793-8900 ext. 52611.
Parenting Courses
Parenting Young Children
For parents of children 1 to 5 years of age. This course is free
and offered in partnership with Family Education Centre. This
course explores how a child’s personality, social skills, belief
systems and lifestyle develop. Learn the purpose of
misbehaviour and how to deal with it. Learn ways to handle
crying, temper tantrums, jealousy and public misbehaviour.

Outdoors
Families are encouraged to dress for outdoor weather
including appropriate outerwear, hats and shoes required.
Don’t forget to wear sunscreen.
Centre Capacity
The centre can accommodate 40 participants, including
children, parents and staff due to fire regulations. A sign will be
posted to indicate when we are full. We apologize for any
inconveniences.
Indoor Shoes
To help us keep our centre clean, please note that indoor shoes
and/or slippers are required while at the Centre.

Parking
Parking is limited in the parking lot.. Families have the option to
park on the street in front of the school on the north side.
Book Lending Library for Parents/Caregivers
Please feel free to browse and/or take out resources for up to
one week available in our book lending library for parents/
caregivers. Located in the entry way.
Literacy Kits
Also available are literacy kits for your child. There are various
kits to suit your Childs needs. There are infant/toddler,
preschool and gross motor kits available. Please feel free to
take one home for up to one week.
