For Erin and Robert, Moriah Pie is an expression of their faith in God and the entire enterprise is based on trust. The Lockridges believe that the whole world is given to us by God, and their work each day is an expression of thanksgiving for the gifts God has given. The name Moriah Pie comes from Genesis where Abraham declares, “You are the God that provides.” This sentiment is at the root of Erin and Robert’s work as they risk love and trust God to provide for all that is involved in the restaurant and their lives. This journey of love and trust creates a need for others to come and help, ultimately creating a stronger community. They trust their customers will pay what they believe is fair. They trust each other, their workers, and the community to continue to keep Moriah Pie successful and beneficial for the entire Norwood community. Erin and Robert spend their energy to bring food to the table and invite others to take that risk with them. “Everyone who walks in the door is a gift to us because we are shaped by them”- Erin
