ENTRANCE PROCESSION
All stand and sing the Entrance Hymn
GREETING
P – In the name of the Father, and the Son, and
the Holy Spirit
A – Amen
P – The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and the
love of God and the fellowship of the Holy
Spirit be with you all.
A – And also with you.
PENETENTIAL RITE
P – As we prepare to celebrate the mystery of
Christ’s love; let us acknowledge our failures,
and ask the Lord for pardon and strength:
A – I confess to almighty God, and to you, my
brothers and sisters, that I have sinned
through my own fault, in my thoughts and in
my words, in what I have done, and in what I
have failed to do; and I ask blessed Mary, ever
virgin, all the angels and saints, and you, my
brothers and sisters, to pray for me to the Lord
our God.
P – May almighty God have mercy on us, forgive
us our sins, and bring us to everlasting life.
A – Amen
P – Lord, have mercy.

OPENING PRAYER
P – Let us pray.
The priest reads the day’s Opening Prayer.

LITURGY OF THE WORD
FIRST READING
All are seated.
The Lector reads a passage from the
Old Testament or the Epistles.
L – The Word of the Lord.
A – Thanks be to God.
RESPONSORIAL PSALM
The Lector leads the Assembly in a psalm
dialogue, reading or singing several
“Response” to be repeated by the Assembly.
GOSPEL ACCLAMATION
All stand.
L – Alleluia, alleluia.
A – Alleluia, alleluia.
L – The Cantor sings the Acclamation for the day.
A – Alleluia, alleluia.
During Advent and Lent, the “Alleluia” is
replaced by a verse, such as “Praise and
glory to you, Lord Jesus Christ.”
GOSPEL
P – A reading from the Holy Gospel according to

A – Glory to you, Lord.
With your right thumb, trace the Sign of
the Cross on your forehead, lips and heart
to show that the Church prays the Word of
God with love and respect.
P – The priest reads the Gospel for the day. The
Gospel of the Lord.
A – Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.
HOMILY
All are seated.
The priest speaks to the Assembly about
their faith and the meaning of today’s
Scripture reading.
PRAYER OF THE FAITHFUL
P – The priest invites the Assembly to pray
together for the world, the community, and
their special intentions.
L – The Lector reads each prayer of petition and
after each says: We pray to the Lord.
A – Lord, hear our prayer.
P – The priest says a concluding prayer.
LITURGY OF THE EUCHARIST
OFFERTORY PROCESSION
All are seated and sing the Offertory
Hymn as the gifts are brought forward.
BLESSING
P – Blessed are you, Lord, God of all creation.
Through your goodness we have this bread to
offer, which earth has given and human hands
have made. It will become for us the bread of
life.
A – Blessed be God forever.
P – Blessed are you, Lord, God of all creation.
Through your goodness we have this wine to
offer, fruit of the vine and work of human
hands. It will become our spiritual drink.
A – Blessed be God forever.
P - Pray, my brothers and sisters, that our sacrifice
may be acceptable to God, the almighty
Father.
A – May the Lord accept the sacrifice at your
hands, for the praise and glory of his name, for
our good, and the good of all His Church.
A – Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be
thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done
on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day
our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us
from evil, Amen.
PRAYER OVER THE GIFTS
PRAYER FOR PEACE
INVITATION TO PRAYER
All stand.
P – The priest reads the Prayer for the day.
A – Amen.
EUCHARISTIC PRAYER
P – The Lord be with you.
A – And also with you.
P – Lift up your hearts.
A – We lift them up to the Lord.
P – Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
A – It is right to give Him thanks and praise.
P – The priest reads the Preface for the day.
A – Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might,
Heaven and earth are full of your glory.
Hosanna in the highest! Blessed is he who
comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in
the highest!
All kneel…fold your hands, and reverently
prepare to help the priest pray with Jesus
to God our Father. The priest will choose
one of the four different Eucharistic
Prayers. Each one uses the same words
of Consecration:
P – Take this, all of you, and eat it: this is my body
which will be given up for you.
When the priest elevates the consecrated
Host, we venerate it silently with the
prayer of doubting Thomas:
A – Silently…My Lord and my God!
P – Take this, all of you and drink from it: this is
the cup of my blood, the blood of the new and
everlasting Covenant. It will be shed for you
and for all, so that sins may be forgiven. Do
this in memory of me.
P – Let us proclaim the mystery of faith.
A – Christ has died. Christ is risen. Christ will
come again.
P – Through Him, with Him, in Him in the unity of
the Holy Spirit, all glory and honour is yours,
almighty Father, forever and ever.
A – Amen.
THE LORD’S PRAYER
All stand.
P – The priest invites the Assembly to join in the
prayer taught to us by Jesus.
P – Deliver us, Lord, from every evil, and grant us
peace in our day. In your mercy keep us free
from sin and protect us from all anxiety as we
wait in joyful hope for the coming of our
Saviour, Jesus Christ.
A – For the kingdom, the power, and glory are
yours, now and forever.
P – Lord, Jesus Christ, you said to your Apostles: I
leave you peace, my peace I give you. Look
not on our sins, but on the faith of your
Church, and grant us the peace and unity of
your kingdom, where you live for ever and
ever.
A – Amen.
P – The peace of the Lord be with you always.
A – And also with you.
The priest may add: Let us offer each
other the sign of peace.
A – Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the
world; have mercy on us.
Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the

Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the
world; grant us peace.
COMMUNION
All kneel.
P – This is the Lamb of God who takes away the
sins of the world. Happy are those who are
called to His supper.
A – Lord, I am not worthy to receive you but only
say the word and I shall be healed.

P – Let us pray……….through Christ our Lord.
A – Amen.
P – The Lord be with you.
A – And also with you.
P – May almighty God bless you, + the Father,
and the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
