Approval for replacement signage
6. SUMMARY:
Currently, the plaques on the pillars in front of the Athletic/Alumni Center are weathered
and aging. Mike Pede and Alumni Relations has taken on the challenge to upgrade the
signage to properly reflect the importance of the donors and alums recognized on these
plaques. Scott Hewitt of MD Design Metal Décor has created signage that will properly
recognize UH Alumni Life Members. Attached is an artistic rendition of the proposed
signage. Fabrication needs to begin around the first of April 2014 for a delivery date of July
2014. The signs will be installed for unveiling at the last official football practice just
before the 2014 football season opens in August.
