SALARY SURVEY RESULTS FOR
2014 GCSW MSW GRADUATES
The Job Market Survey for 2014 MSW Graduates was emailed out to 166, 2014 UH-GCSW graduates as part of an annual
GCSW research study of job search methods and reported salaries for new MSW graduates. A total of 104 responses were
received at a 63% response rate. 95% of graduates who responded reported being currently employed.
Salaries for 2014 Graduates
The average salary for 2014 UH GCSW MSW Graduates working full-time was reported at $45,916 (based on 83
responses). The range of salaries reported for those working full-time was from $32,000-$60,000, with a median range of
$42,000-43,999 (based on 71 responses).
Sources of Jobs
The most frequently reported sources for locating jobs were: Contact from networking with alumni, family, friends,
social workers; field placement site staff offered a position or tip on a job elsewhere; current or prior employer; and job
referral service.
