Goal:
Increase awareness and prestige of SGA by providing current and relevant information in a positive and professional manner
Responsibilities:

Supervise employees and budget of Public Relations Department
Manage SGA’s responsibilities for campus events
o Responsibilities include recruiting volunteers, promoting events, and participating in events
o Events include Cat’s Back, NSOs, Cougar Carnival, and others
Represent SGA to media sources, including giving statements and interviews
Regularly update SGA’s website with current information
Oversee SGA’s social media accounts
Promote SGA’s events, initiatives, and accomplishments
o Includes monthly press releases concerning progress and activities of SGA
Oversee design of content, including graphics, photos, videos, and promotional items
Compare prices for promotional items and place orders using the PR department’s budget
Requirements:

Maintain 20 hours per week of office presence (office provided)
Attend bi-weekly SGA Senate meetings & provide update on activities
Attend weekly Presidential Cabinet meetings
Attend University and local events as assigned by the President
Serve on University and SGA committees as assigned by President
Support work of other Presidential Cabinet members and SGA Senate as assigned by the President
Any other duties assigned by the President
Remain in good academic (2.5 GPA) and disciplinary standing
