Its name celebrates the multi-faceted nature of the community, from which it draws approximately 347 students. All Saints School celebrated 25 years of excellence in Catholic Education on October 1, 2013. The school motto is “Dare to Learn! Dare to Dream! All Saints Building Roads to the Future.” In the school logo, “The ‘C’ is the largest letter, emphasizing our Catholicity and mission as Catholic educators and students,” said the designer. “The other letters are wrapped around the two arms of the cross, in a sense, enfolded or protected by the arms.” All Saints Elementary has been part of the St. Ignatius Loyola Parish community since its beginning. The school has a long history of participating in faith activities and social justice initiatives, including the Canadian Food for Children charitable organization and " Hats Off 2 Kidz " Walkathon, in support of cancer research at the Hospital for Sick Children. Other endeavours include: various food drives, donations and other activities for the Eden Community Food Bank, the St. Vincent de Paul Society, and Share Life. The school is also committed to supporting the needs of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder, through generating both funds and awareness in the community and beyond. Our students come to us with a variety of strengths and needs, with their Catholic faith as our common bond. Our prayer life, liturgical celebrations, Virtues assemblies, the Sacraments, and our faith and values system form the foundation of our school program. The curriculum is broad, balanced and relevant to the needs and aspirations of all our students. A wide range of subjects and learning experiences are offered to develop the skills, abilities and talents of individual students. How does your school community ensure that Catholic School Councils reflect the diverse Catholic community? The diverse Catholic community is reflected in our Catholic School Council. At All Saints, all members of the community are welcome, respected and valued. All community members are invited to attend Catholic School Council meetings. Our Catholic School Council is representative of the diverse nature of our community. 2. In what ways does the school team build and sustain community partnerships and collaboratives (e.g., collaborative relationships, Success By 6 Peel)? The All Saints School team builds and sustains community partnerships. Sharon Hobin, our school Trustee, is a well respected, caring, and dedicated student / parent advocate who actively supports the All Saints Catholic School community. We have strong partnerships with Peel Health, who supports our school community in several school initiatives , i.e. P.A.LS , Grade Seven Girls " I am Beautiful Day ", Gr. Seven Boys, " T.E.A.M. Day ", and Nutrition initiatives. We also have a strong relationship with our Neighbourhood Policing Unit, who supports our community by interacting with students in and out of the classroom. We continue to nourish our relationship with before and after school programs such as PLASP, and with our Daycare Centre. The All Saints School-Home-Parish partnership is a fundamental component of school success. At All Saints, we are actively engaged with St. Ignatius Loyola parish through our school liturgies, classroom visits by the parish clergy, and the collaborative sacramental preparation of students by our school staff, the parish and parents. Strong communication exists between the school, home and parish which is clearly outlined in the school’s pastoral plan. Physical Environment 1.
