DUFFERIN-PEEL CATHOLIC DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD BOARD POLICY Board Policy Number: Subject: Effective Date: 1.05 Accidents and Illness (231) 1978; Revised (449) September 28, 2004; Revised (14) April 26, 2011 The Principal of each school is responsible for establishing and implementing procedures which will safeguard the health and welfare of students and staff who have been injured or taken ill while on school premises or on school-sponsored field trips or excursions. Principals shall ensure that student accidents and illnesses are responded to and reported. Principals shall ensure that work-related accidents to staff and illnesses are investigated and reported.
