SKI and SNOWBOARD CLUB ALL PAPERS AND PURCHASES DUE 12/23 THIS IS A FIRST COME CLUB WITH LIMITED SEATS WHAT Our ski and board club travels to Bear Creek Mountain in Macungie, PA. Students who plan on joining the club must purchase a six session pass from Bear Creek Mountain or have a season pass to Bear Creek. All students are also required to purchase one lesson. You have a choice of: Discovery lesson: designed for first time skiers or snowboarders or those still needing to improve on Green Circle terrain (easiest trails). Refresher Lesson: designed for those who are returning to their sport with a focus on safety and responsibility. ***Helmets are not required by the mountain but we suggest the use. Please look at the helmet release form on Bear Creek’s website. Found under snow sports then forms and releases. WHEN We take 6 trips to Bear Creek Mountain during the year. However if you are unable to make our club trips you may use the pass on your own without the club any time during the week or after 4 on weekends and holidays. Below are this year’s travel dates for future reference. 1. January 9th 2. January 15th (Thursday, no school Friday) 3. January 23rd 4. January 30th 5. February 20st 6. February 27th ***We go as a club rain or snow as long as the mountain is open!! Students stay after school and bring all equipment with them to store in room 58 during the day. We meet for light snack and drink in Cafeteria, then at 4 PM load up the buses and head to BC. They then have time to ski/board with friends until 10 pm when all students are required to be back on the bus. We leave promptly at 10 to arrive back at PB by 11pm for parent pick up. HOW – NO FORMS UNTIL December 1st , AFTER BREAK Once you decide you want to join you then purchase your 6-session pass through PB’s website. There is a link provided under ski and board club. Q - Can my student use season rentals from Buckmans or Salters? A – Yes of course 2. Q - Can I purchase a season pass or 6-session pass through Pennbrook’s link for a non-student? What about myself? A – Yes of course and Yes please come on our trip! 3. Q - Can my student be dropped off at the mountain? A – NO! Unless they are participating in another Pennbrook after school activity and have received permission from Mrs. Pickersgill. 4. Q - Can I pick my students up from the mountain? A – NO, no exceptions 5. Q - Can I chaperone the trip? And do I have to ski/board? A – Yes, would love for parents to be coming on our trips. We leave from PB at 4.
