The ability to read complex text is an important predictor of
college and career readiness, and helping learners master
complex text is at the core of implementing the College and
Career Readiness ELA Standards. Take part in hands-on activities
to explore the following areas: how to determine reliability, how
to use CCRSAE rubrics to analyze text complexity for
informational and literary texts, and how to help students tackle
text complexity at the word, sentence, paragraph, and whole text
level. This face-to-face training will be followed up with a
webinar.
