Excel Form - Summary sheet: only direct beneficiaries (see terms of reference of the call for projects) may sign the global funding request in Part 2 Mobility Plan Year 1 sheet: columns A and B MUST be completed when submitting the application. Once the project has been won, the CV must be sent before the mobility plan begins Network_Coord sheet: Part 3.3: management costs are limited to 10% Network_PartnerN: duplicate as required according to the number of additional partners The maximum budget is €200,000 per network. Furthermore, €10,000 must be budgeted for each network's coordination team to participate in cross-disciplinary activities. 2. Word Document It contains the sections opposite: shown Background (2 pages maximum): In this section, describe the scientific context and current practice, as well as the political environment and development challenges (Uemoa, Ceeac, etc.) that surround the network project Goals and results expected, activities and time frame (10 pages maximum): The aims behind strengthening research capabilities and training on the one hand and those behind the application of research on the other must be presented clearly and remain consistent with the activities and goals indicated in the funding file. This section should clarify the publication plan – publication in peer-reviewed scientific journals should not cause journals aimed at a wider audience to be neglected. The cost of publication covering rights in subscription-based journals must be included in the budget Mobility (2 pages maximum): In this section, provide a general presentation of the Mobility Plan. Details of the plan must be provided for the first year on the "Mobility Plan Year 1" sheet of the Excel form Budget and justification of the funding request (2 pages maximum): In this section, provide information to justify the funding request made in Part 3 of the "Network_Coord" sheet of the Excel form Value added by placing teams in a network (2 pages maximum): In this section, explain how placing the teams in a network would be beneficial in relation to current activities and the capabilities of each partner when considered separately Sustainability and longevity (4 pages maximum): In this section, provide evidence to show how the solutions put in place would be sustainable and how the results obtained could be used Coordination and governance of the network (2 pages maximum) Description of partners (1 page maximum per partner): List of each team's national and international partners Analysis and overview of the capabilities and resources of the teams in the network (2 pages maximum): In this section, provide an analysis and an overview of the capabilities and resources of the teams in the network (laboratory equipment owned that is likely to be Explanatory note Page - 2 - pooled with other networks or teams forming part of the process, methodological competencies and expertise) Training requirements identified (2 pages maximum): Provide details of forecasts in terms of training (supervision of doctoral students, training of junior researchers, organisation of workshops, group or individual training) capable of strengthening the competencies of the network members Research project in progress, including activities jointly undertaken by the member teams of the network (2 pages maximum) Supervision of students (2 pages maximum): In this section, describe the research work carried out as part of coursework leading to a diploma – PhDs, Diplômes d'Etudes Approfondies (DEAs) or Master's degrees – over the past five years for each team CV of the team coordinators Bibliography (past 5 years) PREPARING THE APPLICATION The application shall be created under the responsibility of the coordinator of the network that is applying. The coordinators of the teams comprising the network must appoint this coordinator from among their number, who will be the preferred contact person for the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Executive Secretariat of the Parraf programme. SUBMITTING THE APPLICATION The application must be submitted via e-mail by 18 March 2013 at the latest to: parraf@ird.fr1 1 Should you encounter problems when submitting the application, an electronic version of the application on a CD or floppy disk may be sent by post to the Executive Secretariat (date as per postmark) Explanatory note Page - 3 - LETTER OF ENDORSEMENT PRINTED ON PAPER WITH THE LETTERHEAD OF YOUR INSTITUTION The following declaration must be signed by the coordinator of each team associated with the project being submitted. Furthermore, it shall be stamped and signed by the manager of the establishment (person authorised to sign a contract).
