SUBJECT: LOCAL GOVERNMENT REPORTING
Each local government that is required to provide an audit under Section 218.39(1), Florida
Statutes (F.S.), must submit a copy of the audit report and annual financial report (AFR) to the
Department of Financial Services (DFS) within 45 days after the completion of the audit report, but no later than nine (9) months after the end of its fiscal year, pursuant to Section 218.32, F.S.
Each local government that is not required to provide an audit report under Section 218.39(1),
F.S., must submit the AFR to DFS no later than nine (9) months after the end of its fiscal year.
In an effort to reduce printing costs, DFS encourages all local governments to submit the audit report electronically to localgov@myfloridacfo.com
, beginning with the submission for fiscal year 2012-2013. Continue to submit the AFR using the Local Government Electronic Reporting
(LOGER) system at: http://www.myfloridacfo.com/Division/AA/LocalGovernments/default.htm
, under “Annual
Financial Report/LOGER”.
