Salvador Dalí
• Was a painter born in Spain. Salvador Dali is
best known for his surrealistic paintings.
“The Persistence of Memory” is one of his most
famous works.
The Latin Grammy
• The Latin Grammy honors those who
achieved greatness in the Spanish or
Portuguese music industry. The award
ceremony first began in 2000.
La bandera mexicana
• The Aztecs were originally a nomadic tribe.
Their tradition stated that they were to settle
and build their capital city of Tenochtitlan,
where they found an eagle perched on a
cactus eating a serpent. This image can be
seen in the center of the Mexican flag.

• The remains of Tenochtitlán can be found
buried under Mexico City. Mexicans are very
proud of their Aztec history.
Las Luminarias
• Luminarias are outdoor lanterns that are very
often made by putting some sand in a small
paper bag and then placing a small lit candle
inside the bag.
