CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER/FABRICATION LEAD ADVENT Advent designs and constructs dynamic, inspiring, and engaging brand spaces for corporate, educational, and civic institutions such as, The Dallas Cowboys, Auburn University and The University of Southern California. Fabrication Leads take great pride in serving our clients well, no matter if it requires pulling “all nighters” or traveling across the country. FLs are a key piece to delighting our clients at every touchpoint by the way the manage and communicate through the construction/fabrication and installation portions of the project. At Advent, we are looking for people that have a heart for service and hold themselves and the others they interact with to the utmost highest standards. DUTIES Fabrication Leads are asked to lead project team to complete projects on time and on budget while delighting the client at every touchpoint. This will require, but not be limited to, the following: • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • Coordination of Advent’s scope with architects and/or general contractors Know and understand contract documents with both clients and vendors on the given project(s) Develop and manage fabrication and installation schedules factoring in lead times Margin management Oversee all aspects of budget and project financials Manage any change order requests/submissions Lead discussions with architects regarding integration of Advent’s work into their CDs Reviewing integration documents to insure documentation is accurate Ability to lead team to complete given project Gathering pricing from various vendors and preparing quotes for potential projects On-sight installation supervision/management in conjunction with Field Supervisor Overall leadership of fabrication/installation team to deliver finished product Day-to-day communication with clients and vendors regarding on-going projects Collaborating with and managing work flow internally with other “departments” Scheduling internal and external project team meetings Resolve issues with internal team and client as needed Logistics coordination Expense tracking and reporting High level note taking in meetings with extreme attention to detail Keep multiple projects on track at the same time Traveling required QUALIFICATIONS • Passion for serving people well • Ability to solve problems on the fly • CSM/Construction Management background (3+ years) • Basic computer knowledge (Mac experienced preferred but not required) • Fluent in building/construction best practices • General understanding of design and construction terms • Flexible schedule • Highly organized and must have attention to detail • Proactive, self-starter with a positive attitude and a inquisitive personality • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or similar/equivalent experience TO APPLY • Send the following to Todd Cyphers (tcyphers@adventresults.com) • Resume and cover letter • 3 to 5 references with contact information (client, peer, sub-contractor/vendor) D E S I G N I N G E X P E R I E N C E S T H AT M O V E P E O P L E ™
