A LOVE GONE BAD
FADE IN:
EXT. DOWNTOWN DETROIT, MI.—MORNING
CHARACTER INTRODUCTION
WIDESHOT of Detroit, MI. as Katie is strides across the
street towards the tall, narrow building. As the morning
continues, the sun is shinning bright with temperatures
rising to a maximum of 95 degrees. Katie is in her early
20s with long black hair, clear caramel skin, and emerald
green eyes. She is wearing a knee length mint green dress
that pleats at the bottom, nude Christian Loubutin heels, a
nude Louis Vuitton clutch, matte red lipstick, and a black
brief case. As she walks into the GRIM BROTHERS building
she her hair begins to flow in the wind as she opens the
automatic double doors open before her. As she approaches
the elevators, she halts when she hears her best friend,
Monica, call out for her.
MONICA
(V.O)
Kate! Hey Kate, wait for me………how are you?
You look very adorable today as if you’re in
the mood for a little wedding planning
nonsense. Will Mrs. Jamerson be joining us
today? I know that she’s your mother-in-law
in all Kate, but the woman is a definite

drab. I know that she doesn’t like me and I
feel that I can honestly say that the
feeling may just be mutual.
As the ladies approach the elevators, Monica hands Katie
the cup of coffee with the letters L-O-V-E B-F-F written
across the front of it with a heart at the end. Monica
leans forward to press the elevator up button. Kate lights
up with a huge grin as she reads the letters while opening
and extending her arms to embrace a hug. The ding of the
elevator is heard and the ladies separate to prepare to
step onto the elevator. As the doors slide open the women
walk into the crowded elevator. Monica presses the button
for the 31st floor. As Kate leans in she begins to respond
to Monica’s questions and concerns.
KATE
(V.O)
Well to finally be able to answer your rude
questions and simple concerns, thank you for
the compliment. As far as I’m concerned I
really just put something together at the
last minute. I didn’t want to be to fancy
nor did I feel that it would be a good time
to just throw on anything. On the subject of
my mother-in-law I want you to behave
yourself today. I know that she can be
difficult to work with, but because we are
planning MY day the two of you will have to
put your differences behind you.

MONICA
It’s not me Kate I swear. The woman has just
not liked me since I took her Psychology
class in college and barely passed it. She’s
just a bitter old bat.
KATE
I don’t care about what happened between the
two of you. All I know is that today is not
the day for the two of you to bicker and
argue about the good old days when she was
your superior and you were her student.
MONICA
(With squinted eyes)
HA HA HA! I see that someone also has jokes
this morning. Well, let me tell you
something…don’t come complaining to me when
the old bat that you will soon be referring
to as “mom” irritates you and makes you want
to strangle her. I’m telling you Kate; the
woman’s a hand full.
KATE
(With a smile)
I’ve been dating her precious son for two
years now, and we all know that he’s a
handful by himself. I’m sure that I can deal
with his mother she’s surely no different.

Monica rolls her eyes and shakes her head showing signs of
disapproval. Kate narrows her eyes focusing them on Monica
as Monica raises her arms to surrender. The elevator
finally reaches their stop and they stare off is
interrupted by the ding of the elevator. As doors begin to
slide open and the women exit and are greeted by a man with
open arms walking towards them.
MAN (KYLE)
Darlings, you finally made it! I’m so happy
to see your gorgeous faces. I’m sure you’re
ready to get to work, as am I so please
follow me this way.
The women snicker away as the man, better known as Kyle,
escorts them into down a long hallway. On the walls are
pictures of various women wearing wedding dresses designed
by several big name designers such as Chanel, Vera Wang,
and many more.
EXT. GRIM BROTHERS-DAY
PLANNING THE WEDDING
Medium Close Up: Kate and Monica are sitting at a table
with various examples of wedding receptions spread out in
front of them. The pictures display the set-up of the
reception as well as a few events that took place during
the reception. Examples of the daddy-daughter dance, the
bride and groom dance, and even the wedding party

performing a choreographed dance to entertain the guess. As
Kyle is standing over them he is paying close attention to
each picture that catches the attention of the ladies.
KYLE
Choreographed dances performed by the
wedding party are the most fun. It holds
the attention of your guest and leaves them
in awe wanting to constantly talk about the
fun that they had at your wedding once they
leave.
MONICA
Dancing sounds fun. Although Kate is a
little uncoordinated with the right
choreographer she will be whipped in shape
in no time. Plus to have the entire wedding
party dance would be so cool especially
because most of us are well acquainted.
KATE
It would be even better if we were to
perform as a flash mob. With 20 people in
our wedding party there is no reason as to
why we couldn’t pull the flash mob effect
off. BUT U fear that everyone will not be
happy with dancing in wedding dresses.
Monica
It’s not their day either its yours. It’s
the one day of your life were you can have

everything that want. Especially with you
owning your own company you’re also setting
out to satisfy people, but now its time for
you to satisfy yourself. If a flash mob is
what you want then a flash mob is what you
will get. And if anyone objects to the idea
then hey they can be dropped from the party.
No biggie at all.
KATE
Whoa, I don’t want to drop anyone just yet.
Plus everyone has been so sweet and patient
with me every since they’ve accepted the
request for them to be in my wedding party.
Plus my mind is already made up on the fact
that if I want something done for my wedding
then I will do whatever to make it happen.
Kyle, do you by chance know any good
choreographers that have experience in
creating routines specifically for wedding
parties?
KYLE
I sure do. There’s Lisa J, who choreographed
a Michael Jackson themed wedding. Michael
Bull, who choreographed a dance for a 50th
anniversary that was not only performed by
their VIP, but also by the couple
themselves. So if a pair of older people can
stand up and drop it like its hot, I’m sure
that a group of young whippier snappers like
yourselves can get up there and do the same.

MONICA
You’re right about that one Kyle. Everyone
knows that I love to dance so to drop it
like its hot at my best friends wedding is
something that I will actually look forward
to. Plus it would be even more fun when I’m
little tipsy at the wedding.
KATE
Oh brother, this is about to a circus act.
Kate begins to giggle to herself while Monica swivels
around in her chair dancing. While the girls are enjoying
themselves passing hits back and forth they’re interrupted
at the two double doors leading to the inside open up, and
walking in is Mrs. Jamerson. Mrs. Jamerson is a tall,
slender woman wearing a pixie cut hairstyle. She is dressed
in an all white linen pants suit wearing the open toe
Chanel sandals while carrying her all white Céline handbag.
As she approaches the group she extends her arms for a hug
from Kate, travels to Kyle to exchange a kiss from cheek to
cheek, and finally she looks at Monica giving her cordial
smile with a head nod.
MRS. JAMERSON
Darling you look adorable in your mint green
dress today. It appears that you are in a
pleasant mood this morning seeing how your
wedding is only a month away. How is the
reception planning coming along? Have you
developed any new ideas?

KATE
Yes, Yes, Yes! We’ve actually developed a
new and fun idea for the reception. Instead
of going along with the traditional
reception rituals where the bride and groom
have their dance as well as the father and
daughter I want to add in a flash mob dance.
MRS. JAMERSON
Flash mob? That sounds fun, but how will you
coordinate it? Do you believe that your
wedding party will be able to pull it off?
KATE
Of course it’ll be a little difficult
because I’m asking a group of adults to
perform in front of a crowd of people, but
it will get done.
KYLE
We will only pair her with the best of the
best when it comes to a choreographer, and
the rest will work itself out. I have a few
choreographers in mind and I’ve forwarded
them to my assistant so that she can begin
making calls to see who is available and
would like to be hired.
MRS. JAMERSON

Mmmm Hmm, and have we ran this by Jason yet?
As Jason would say, “I gig, I don’t dance”,
so how will you rope him into performing?
KATE
(In a serious, but joking tone)
Oh, don’t worry about Jason I got him. Trust
me, Jason will be dancing all night long and
he’ll enjoy every moment of it.
Kyle’s phone begins to ring. He excuses himself and steps
outside of the room politely closing the double doors
behind him.
MRS. JAMERSON
I’m sure that I won’t hear the last of this
one. Especially with Danny coming home for
good, I predict that there will be several
jokes passed back and forth between the two
of them.
MONICA
Who is Danny?
KATE
Jason’s only and older brother. Danny had
been away at war fighting for our country.
He was just released on honorary leave, and
he’s just in time for being available to
attend our wedding. Jason has been talking
about him nonstop since we’ve got the good

news that Danny will be joining us for our
wedding.
MONICA
Is he single and ready to mingle?
MRS. JAMERSON
(Using a rude sarcastic tone)
Single? Yes. Ready to mingle? Possibly. With
you? I wouldn’t hold my breath on it. Not to
be rude, but I’m just saying.
MONICA
Hmmm, and would you “just be saying” that
because of your bias against me, or do you
think that you know your son well enough to
know what his type is?
MRS. JAMERSON
Sweetheart you can chose whatever option
makes you feel the best. Any who, Kate how
are your dress alterations coming along?
Kyle reenters the room carrying a tray holding four wine
glasses that are all full to the rim. Monica hurry’s to
grab one and gulps in down within a matter of ten seconds.
Before passing out the glasses to the other women Kyle
looks at Monica with a quizzical look as if he had just
missed something.
MRS.JAMERSON

Kyle darling don’t worry about her, may I
have a glass please?
KYLE
Certainly Mrs. Jamerson there are plenty to
go around. Kate would you like one as well?
KATE
No thank you Kyle.
MONICA
I’LL TAKE HERS I NEED IT MORE ANYWAY! Today
is going to be a long day. Especially if I
have to spend it with this old bat. (she
states under her breath)
Mrs. Jamerson immediately snaps her neck towards Monica
while narrowing her eyes and pressing her lips tightly
together. Monica does the same without blinking as she
takes small sips of her champagne. Kyle stands off to the
side with the thought of worry written all over him as he
stands hugging the tray tightly to his chest. His face
slackened, his brows furrowed, with his eyes darting about
in concern as if he is afraid to interject because of what
nasty look he too may receive. Since Kate knows that Monica
won’t back down, to diffuse, she squeezes her leg under the
table causing for Monica to cry out.
MONICA
OUCH! What was that for?

Kate stares right into Monica’s eyes with one eyebrow
raised. Monica looks away as she pushed away from the table
to stand up out of her chair. She turns to walk away, with
Kyle following right behind her. Mrs. Jamerson looks at
Kate then at Monica and back at Kate.
MRS. JAMERSON
This is it wasn’t my fault. I tried my
hardest to remain civil with her Kate, and
you see her lack of respect for those that
came before her. Back when I was your age
there was no way that I was getting away
with speaking back to my elders. And I know
what you’re thinking, who could possibly
want to put their hands on a 25 year-old
woman, but just as you are sitting here
confused as I am telling you this I was just
as confused when I was going through it.
KATE
With all do respect Mrs. Jamerson, I could
really do without the sob story from when
you were my age. This time you actually
started it. You were the one that said all
of the smart comments to try and show that
you had more power over Monica, which was
beyond unnecessary. Just as I’ve told her, I
would strongly advise that you fix your
attitude as well as let go of any biases
that you may have against her. She will

always remain my best friends just as you
will remain my mother-in-law. With that
being said I want nothing, but respect from
the two of you. If you don’t like it then
there is the door! I came here to work, not
to listen to grown women bicker like little
kids. Get it together or else.
MRS. JAMERSON
Boy, don’t you sound just like me when I was
getting married accept instead of my best
friend despising my mother-in-law I was the
one that couldn’t stand her. God rest her
soul, but I know the feeling of someone or
something getting in the way of your
happiness for your big day. I’ll back off
and apologize when she returns to join us.
KATE
Thank you!
MRS. JAMERSON
Have you spoken with Jason? I’m wondering
when will Danny’s flight land and how he’s
doing during the flight.
KATE
Yes I’ve spoken with him. I’ve actually just
finished texting him. He was on his way to
the airport to pick up Danny. His flight is

due to land at three this afternoon so Jason
is right on schedule.
EXT. THE AIRPORT—MIDDAY
As JASON arrives at the airport the sight of an all-red
Benz catches his attention throwing him off balance. His
eyes widen with worry as if he had just seen his worst
nightmare. Instantly he steps on his brakes when he
realizes that he was almost two inches away from running
over a couple as they walked across the street with their
hands locked together. Jason apologizes by raising his hand
and mouthing, “I apologizes” as he pulls up along the curve
in his all white Porsche Cayenne Turbo S. He looks down at
his silver Rolex noticing that the time is twenty minutes
after three. He puts the car in park and hurriedly opens
the door to make his way into the airport to give his
brother a warm “Welcome Back to Detroit” greeting. Jason is
wearing a tailored all black Ralph Lauren suit with a red
and black stripped tie. He is wearing a red button up shirt
with his shinny all black Christian Loubutin shoes.
As he walks into the airport he catches the attention of
both men and women. He gracefully struts across the airport
to the waiting area where passengers that have just exited
the plane go to retrieve their luggage. As he stops to look
around, the sight of a tall slender man with muscles as big
as his head. Jason walks towards this man, and calls out
the name “Danny” to see if he would answer, and as the man
turns around he replies yes!
JASON

Wow dude you’ve gotten so big. Its so great to
see you after these long two long years.
The two brothers extend their arms for a hug. As their hug
is ending they constantly pat each other on the back while
nodding their heads and smiling. Their grins extended from
ear to ear. Their faces were lit with joy because they were
so excited to be reunited again.
DANNY
Yeah over these past two years I’ve been
constantly working out as much as possible
to not let the stress of the war get to me.
Working out became my release and the closer
I got to the day when it was time for me to
come home the more working out I did to keep
myself occupied.
JASON
Mom is definitely going to have a heart
attack when she sees you! She’s been talking
about you nonstop and how she just cannot
wait to see you. I’m just happy you’re here
because I finally have my big brother back,
and you will by my side as I exchange vows
with the most beautiful woman ever. Are you
ready to leave?
DANNY
Of course I’m ready to leave. I’m ready to
go home and eat some of momma’s homemade

cooking. Do you mind helping me with my
bags?
JASON
Nope you know I’d do anything for you my
brother! The car is this way.
As Jason points towards the exit door the two men make
their way to the car. Jason is carrying two large suitcases
and Danny is doing the same with the addition of his book
bag. The men load up the car leaving no room for any
additional passengers in the back in back seat as well as
the trunk.
DANNY
So Mr. Hot Shot Producer, how is the music
industry treating?
JASON
The industry is great! Business is booming
better then ever, which of course is
definitely a blessing.
DANNY
YEAH? Well that’s great that everything is
turning out well for you. I have a question
for you though……Why are you tying the knot?
I remember back in college you kept saying I
may meet the right girl, but I will never
wife her. My player ways will always come
first and love is second.

Jason immediately burst out into a laugh after Danny’s
comment. Jason himself could not believe what Danny had
just said so he gives him a look of worry as if he wants to
say something. He tightens his grip on the steering wheel
as while he constantly removes one hand at a time to wipe
the sweat from the palm of his hand onto his thigh. Before
he could get a word out Danny interjects.
DANNY
Look man, I’m not trying to get all up in
your business, but being that I know you
like the back of my hand marriage is not you
unless you’ve changed on me.
JASON
You know what Dan marriage really is not me,
but Katie is just that type of woman that
you don’t just let go of. She’s stuck around
since my senior of college and has been here
through it all. Waking up at three in the
morning to random phone calls from different
women threatening to beat her up because
she’s with me, and not to mention that I’ve
cheated on her with various women. Many of
those women are unknown to her, but as for
the ones that she does know about she has
still stuck around.
DANNY
So you’re marrying a push over is what
you’re saying? A woman without a spine!

JASON
NOOOOOOOOO, now get me wrong although Kate
is has stuck around for so long she has let
me have it and I mean mentally and
physically.
DANNY
Oh so you have a Floyd Mayweather on your hands
huh? How many hits to the face have you had to
take? Because if she’s everything that you say
she is then I know that you’ve had to have taken
a couple blows to the face.
Jason begins laughing again while he slaps Danny’s
shoulder.
JASON
Yeah I’ve had to take a few blows to the
head. I remember once when we were out to
eat at Morton’s and one of my old flings
appeared and because I could not take my
eyes off her ass. Katie just hauled off and
smacked me right there. All I could do was
sit and grit my teeth because I knew it was
coming especially because we had already had
a bad morning.
Danny sits in his seat rocking back and forth as he laughs.
Tears begin to run down his face as it turns as red as a
cherry. Jason looks around as if he doesn’t want to laugh,
but because he too knew it was funny he couldn’t help, but
join in.

DANNY
Yeah well I guess that sounds good in all,
but that’s not telling me why marriage now?
Why her?
JASON
A woman like Kate man you don’t let go of.
Outside of my infidelities and our craziness
Kate is the one. I’m ready to actually
settle down with only one woman. I want to
be like mom and dad where her and I can just
grow old together and build our own army of
kids. No more then three though. I am not
going to be like aunt Janette with six bad
kids.
DANNY
Yeah I understand, I can see my baby bro
finally growing up. So with your idea of
marriage what was it that made you say yes
to her, outside of everything that she has
put up with, why her?
JASON
Danny, for me to settle down with a woman I
look at it like this…… I have to be inspired
by you. I have to see something in you that
makes me want to go get more for us. I’ll
never be content with that bare minimum
“love”. I need that overflowing, ever
fulfilling type of bond, which is Kate. I’m

attracted to passion and direction, and with
her owning her own business she is driven to
only wanting to go to the top. I need a
person that has the same appreciation for
accomplishments that I have. So I have to
see her grinding, which I have. I have to
see the woman that I’m marrying eyes light
up when she starts talking about her
passions. I want to be there building
towards my own success, but supporting her
as she lays the foundation to build hers.
And then I want us to come together and
strengthen our bond that most people
daydream about. I want us to connect in a
way that allows us to increase in every way;
new heights for her career and different
levels for me in mine. A couple that can’t
motivate each other is in a relationship
with an expiration date, and that can’t be
us. When I’m off track, she will be there to
keep me focused. When she’s down, I’ll be in
her ear reassuring her of her own greatness.
And I’m not saying it’ll be easy because no
journey is perfect, but as long as she
sticks it out with me, I promise to spend
the rest of my life making sure that she
knows it was all worth it in the end.
DANNY
(HE STATES AS HE CLAPS)
CONGRATULATIONS ROMEO! It sounds as if
you’ve just written your wedding vows. I’m

happy for you because it seems as though
you’ve really thought long and hard about
why you would want to marry this girl.
JASON
Yeah she’s worth it man. She is truly worth
it. I’ve buried my bone and washed my hands
of all of the women that I was messing
around with while I was with her. My fear is
that I may have a situation on my hands,
which goes by the name of Natalia.
DANNY
Natalia? Is that the famous model slash
video vixen that people have been raving
about?
JASON
Yes sir that would be her.
DANNY
WOWWWWWWWWW! Jason my brother you have been
doing a lot since I’ve been away and I
seriously mean doing a lot if you know what
I mean, L-O-L! So what’s the situation
between you two?
JASON
Since we’ve reached our destination this
conversation must come to an end, but the
good news is you’ll be able to meet my
lovely fiancé.

The gentlemen walk into the Grim Brothers building, and
instantly Jason is bombarded with guest within the building
wanting to take pictures with him or some want to obtain
his autograph. Danny stepped back into the shadows as the
paparazzi constantly took pictures of Jason.
Jason finally walked away from the camera’s and rushed
himself and Danny to the elevators. As soon as Jason called
for the elevator the double doors opened and once they
stepped in was just the two of them. On their way up to the
31st floor Danny stares at Jason with big eyes wanting to
get any information that he could in regards to what the
issue was with Natalia.
JASON
WHAT DUDE? I do not wish to talk about
what’s going on between Natalia and I at
this moment. I’m telling you that once our
conversation begins it won’t stop because
what happened between Natalia and I will
never leave my memory. If it wasn’t for Kate
I probably would be marrying Natalia. Things
between her and I were not at all simple and
no woman has ever had my head in the clouds
as fast as she has.
DANNY
So you mean to tell me that the one that
truly has your heart is not Kate? Instead
it’s Natalia? You definitely have some
explaining to do my brother.

JASON
It’s sad to say my brother, but yes Natalia
would have been the next Mrs. Jamerson. I
lived a separate life with Natalia, and I
don’t even know how I pulled it off. We went
out all the time and several times we’ve
chanced it by going out during the day in
public, BUT I WAS ALWAYS CAREFUL!
DANNY
Careful? How so? There is no way that you
can truly convince me that you lived a
secret life with this woman and was still
able to go out in public with her. How was
that even possible?
As the elevator proceeds to the 31st floor it is stopped
every two floors with someone getting on and off. The
traffic on this elevator was nonstop causing for various
pauses in their conversation.
JASON
Yeah I know it sounds crazy, but when you
have a great team behind you that’s willing
to go back you up and lie for you there is
no reason as to why I could not keep this
going for as long as it did. For the moments
where we were seen in public together I was
able to get my assistant to fabricate a
story for the tabloids saying that her and I
were preparing for a upcoming project

together. Everything was strictly business.
There was even one moment where I had to
take Kate with me on this business venture
because she insisted that she meet Natalia
because of who Natalia is and she
potentially wanted to use her as a model to
model some of her clothes.
DANNY
Bro don’t tell me that you brought your
girl, the one that you are marrying to a
meeting with your other woman. Did you
seriously have them laughing in each other’s
face knowing the situation?
Before Jason could reply to Danny’s comments the sound of
the elevator reaching their floor was heard. Immediately
the door open up and the first thing that catches their eye
was the bright white chandelier dangling above the
receptionist desk. Jason reaches his arm across Danny
causing him to come to a complete stop then he turns to
face him.
JASON
We will continue our conversation later. In
the meantime please act as if we never
started talking about this. I will explain
it all to you later.
DANNY

Understood my guy! I won’t say a word about
it until later because you will explain this
scandal to me TODAY!
JASON
Fine, this evening IF we get a moment
together I will explain the Natalia Story.
Danny nods his him showing that he understands while
gesturing his hand towards the receptionist desk. As the
gentleman approach the desk the receptionist immediately
stand to greet them.
RECEPTIONIST
Hello Mr. Jamerson, your party has been
awaiting your arrival. If you will just
follow me this way and I will escort you to
them.
JASON
Thank you! I’m sure my fiancé has worried
everyone mad trying to figure out if I have
made it here yet.
DANNY
(Saying in a sarcastic tone)
Right, his “fiancé” Miss Katie is dying to
know where her hubby to be is.
As the three of them walk down the hallway wrapped in
nothing but photos of women in beautiful designer wedding
dresses. Jason narrows his eyes straight ahead to avoid

looking at the receptionist butt as she walks with a hard
switch in front of them. Danny quietly begins to snickers
after looking at Jason’s face as they walk down the hall.
They finally reach the room and as the receptionist opens
the double doors Danny leans in to whisper to Jason.
DANNY
It’s so funny how you were trying so hard to
avoid looking her ass. We both know that you
wanted to look so bad especially since she
had a body of goddess. She knew you wanted
to look as well, which was why she walked
with the hardest switch possible.
JASON
HA, HA, HA! You have a few jokes huh my guy!
Well to be frank I hit that too if you must
know.
Danny instantly drops his mouth wide open, while he shakes
his head. Mrs. Jamerson rises from the table the moment
that she seen Danny enter into the room. Immediately she
runs past Jason, who walks as fast as he could to kiss
Kate, and extends her arms out for a warm embracing hug
from Danny. They stand in each others arms for two minutes
while tears of pure joy run down Mrs. Jamerson’s face.
MRS. JAMERSON
So how was your trip here? We’re you nervous
about being on the plane? Did Jason treat
you well when he picked you up? Are you

excited to be home? I am never letting you
leave my side again no matter how great of
an impact you making on this country, you
hear me?
DANNY
Mom relax I’m fine and I’m here now with
you. Outside of Jason coming to pick me up
from the airport you were the first person
that I could not wait to see. My plane ride
was smooth sailing and no surprisingly I was
not at all nervous. I really just fell
asleep and was content the entire time. Of
course as you know Jason was Jason so I
couldn’t complain. And finally I actually
have no plans in returning to the service. I
will always represent my country, but I have
plans to find a job and make a life for
myself here.
MRS. JAMERSON
Well that’s wonderful to hear. I’m proud
that you are making efforts to figure out
what you are going to do next. Well since
you haven’t met Kate yet let me introduce
you.
Mrs. Jamerson holds Danny’s arm as she escorts him over to
Kate whose head remains looking down as she tries to
explain where her, Monica, Mrs. Jamerson, and Kyle have
gotten in their process of planning out the reception.

Danny I would like for you to meet Kate.
Kate meet..
DANNY
KATIE “CORNDOG” PHILLIPS! You haven’t

own my own business titled, “For the Love of
Money”, and business happens to be doing
well so far.
DANNY
You did always say that you wanted to wanted
to develop your own clothing store with
original piece made by you.
JASON
Wait, baby you didn’t tell me that you were
knew my big brother. How do you two know
each other anyway?
DANNY
Those repetitive summers where mom sent me
away to summer camp I met Kate. Because of

mom I made a friend that had been my friend
for six years. She was in the same situation
as I was where your mom sent you away to
camp to occupy you. Of course during that
time you were away at “Band Camp” turning
things up and networking with your long-term
friends Tony and MK that you still are close
with today.
KATE
I never mentioned knowing him because I
never knew that he was your brother. He’s
changed so much that I didn’t even recognize
him until he called me by the childhood
nickname that he created for me.
JASON
Hmmm Ok, well I guess that makes breaking
the ice a tad bit more easy. But bro your
nickname is “Bubble Butt” and you answered
to it? Where did that even come from?
DANNY
Yeah, you know we were kids and she created
this silly nickname for me.
While both Kate and Danny are responding to Jason they
continue to lock eyes with one another. Monica begins to
look closely at the two of them with the thought of wonder
written on her face as her forehead crinkles and her eyes

harden. Constantly she turns her head left to right
studying their every move.
KATE
Sorry to bust you buddy, but if you’re going
to tell someone why your nickname is what it
is you certainly cannot lie. I call Danny
Bubble Butt because as you may already know
Danny has a big booty when he was younger
and because it was so perfectly rounded like
a bubble I named him Bubble Butt.
MRS. JAMERSON
Yeah Danny you sure did have a big butt when
you were younger. I always had to buy your
pants at least a size bigger to diverge the
attention away from your huge butt.
Everyone begins to laugh as Mrs. Jamerson gestures to show
exactly how big Danny’s butt really was. Danny begins to
walk towards the table to see exactly what the girls and
Kyle had been working on.
DANNY
So what’s the wedding theme? What is my role
throughout the wedding? I’m warning you now
I’m NOT saying or doing anything stupid. I’m
only there to support my brother and
childhood friend.
JASON

Of course you will be the “Best Man” which
means that you get to stand besides me
during the wedding. As for what you will and
will not do during my wedding you will
surely do whatever is asked of you.
KATE
My gosh baby you say it in such a dictator
way. Danny you will be the Best Man of
course and we’ve just added a flash mod to
the reception, which will require everyone
within the wedding party to perform a
choreographed dance spontaneously.
JASON
Whoa, whoa, whoa! Who said I was dancing?
I’m tired of having to tell you all that I
do not dance! I gig I don’t dance.
KATE
Your mom said that you would say that too.
Welp too bad you’re dancing on the day of
our wedding and I don’t want to hear any if
ands or buts about it.
JASON
Well then, yes ma’am. If it’s a dance that
you want then it’s a dance that you will
get.
DANNY

Yeah well I don’t dance so if it’s a dance
that you want then you better look for a
different man to by my brothers “Best Man”
because I don’t dance….ever!
MRS. JAMERSON
I specifically told her that the two of you
would have the biggest issue with having
dance during the wedding.
JASON
Well if it’s a dance that my baby wants then
a dance she will get. It’s possible and I
want to make her happy so I will make sure
that our entire wedding party is out there
dancing.
EXT. KATE AND JASON’S HOME—NIGHT TIME
COOKING DINNER
As Kate prepares their family dinner she tries to hurry to
place everything on the table. With a perfectionist for a
mother-in-law she does everything that she can to make sure
that everything is perfect. Kate constantly walks between
the kitchen and the dinning room making sure that
everything is perfect and set up correctly. The first guest
to arrive is Danny. He enters into the room silently making
every effort to startle Katie if possible.
DANNY
BOO!

KATE
OMG….LEAVE ME ALONE (She screams out). Danny
why are you down here bothering me? Dinner
isn’t for another half hour and I need to
make sure that everything is perfect for
your mother.
DANNY
Why are you so dedicated to pleasing my mom?
She isn’t the one that you’ll be marrying
nor can she say anything about anything that
you are doing. Right or wrong this is still
your moment so who cares what she thinks.
Leave the caring to my dad, he’s learned how
to put up with her for over forty years now.
He can answer to her craziness not you!
MRS. JAMERSON
Well truly I don’t care about care about how
she feels, but to avoid any unnecessary
drama between her and I, I would like for
everything to be perfect. Your mother judges
everything and everyone and for one night I
would prefer not to hear any of her
negativity. I’ve had enough of it from
earlier today when she and Monica exchanged
words as we were planning out the reception.
DANNY
Still the same old Kate. Dedicated to
pleasing everyone and trying to make sure

that everyone is happy. How is your mom? Is
she still with that guy………ummmmm what’s his
name again? Rick?
KATE
WOW, you’re so far off, but thanks for
trying. But yes she is still with MICHAEL.
The two of them are still just stringing one
another along without tying the knot.
DANNY
What’s the rush? Its only marriage. Why does
there need to be a titled to define love?
I’m sure they still love each other very
much, but the thought and commitment behind
getting married is just a hard pill for them
to swallow.
KATE
It’s not just marriage. It’s a moment where
you are able to stand in front of a room of
people and express to people why you love
that person so much and what makes them so
special to the point where you would like to
take it to the next level with them.
DANNY
So do you mean to tell me that you have
pretty much developed your wedding vows for
my brother and can honestly stand in front
of me right now and recite them?

KATE
Yes I can. I could do it for any man that I
was marrying because I obviously want to
take things to the next level with that
person so yeah why not.
DANNY
Well then, recite your vows. No mess up!
Remember as you said this is something that
you will be saying in front of an audience
full of people.
KATE
I’m not fearing the people nor the pressure.
This is the man that I am choosing to spend
the rest of my life with so I my vows have
already been developed.
DANNY
Ok Princess then let me hear them. I’m ready
to hear your wonderful wedding vows for my
brother.
KATE
Fine, listen closely because I do NOT plan
on repeating myself.
As Kate places the silver around the table she pauses to
look straight into Danny’s eyes. Danny takes the
opportunity to have a seat while he awaits to hear exactly
what Kate has to say.
KATE

HERE GOES NOTHING:
In the Bible the word "love" is not
spoken of as an emotion, but rather, it
is an action. This is why love can be
commanded. Paul spoke of how Christ
"loved me and gave Himself for me" (Gal.
2:20). I might not have warm feelings
toward my enemies, but I am still
commanded to love them (Matt. 5:44). My
next door neighbor might be a real jerk,
but I am commanded to love him as myself
(Matt. 22:39). My husband might treat me
bad and I might feel sorry for myself,
but I am commanded to love him as Christ
loved the church (Eph. 5:25) and you are
commanded to love me (Titus 2:4). In the
New Testament "love" means to "seek the
highest good" of another person.
Men often fail to keep the vow they made
to "cherish" their wife. When they were
dating he always looked his best, sent
flowers, cards or other tokens of
affection and spoke tenderly to his
beloved. Why stop this "cherishing" of
your spouse just because you got
married?
When the Lord made Eve He did not just make
a copy of Adam who was capable of bearing
children. The difference between husbands

and wives involves a lot more than the
reproductive system. Husbands are commanded
"dwell with them with understanding, giving
honor to the wife, as to the weaker vessel,
and as being heirs together of the grace of
life, that your prayers may not be hindered"
(1 Peter 3:7). Part of dwelling with them
"with understanding" involves realizing
that, generally speaking, women are more in
touch with their emotions than men are.
Husbands should not resent this -- they
should rejoice in it!
And just an F.Y.I for you I did steal a few of
those sentences from the Internet.
Danny sits in awe as he watches Kate prance around the
kitchen as though she is aware that she has just put an end
to their conversation.
DANNY
Wow so I guess that you do really love my
brother. It’s so surprising to hear you say
all of these things about him seeing how I
can remember that when we were younger you
rejected the idea of marriage when I told
you how long my parents had been married at
that time.
KATE
Yeah I’ve rejected marriage because of all
of what my mom has been through with several

men. But when it comes to Jason I can’t see
myself spending my life with anyone else no
matter what type of problems he creates for
us. I love that man with every fiber in me
and I refuse to let anyone come in between
what he and I have worked to build. I’m sure
that he has made you aware of all of his
infidelities and what not, but hey I can’t
let those past events stop us from where we
are today. He is my husband and I want to
make it clear that no matter what I will not
trade our love for anything or anyone in the
world.
Danny
Wow, I’ve never heard a woman speak as
highly about my brother as you do. He is
definitely a very lucky man and no matter
what he will be very lucky to have you in
his life.
The story certainly does not end here. The audience is
actually introduced to Natalia at end where we see it is
revealed that she is going to have a baby by Jason himself.
The wedding is called off because of this major secret, but
what happens after that it was really moves the audience.
In Kate’s time of grief Kate sought out the comfort from
her old friend Danny, and the two of them actually
developed a love for each other. This love triangle ends up
actually tearing a family, but later then strengths it as

the family comes to an agreement where they can’t let
outside love destroy them.
