PLANO INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT Job Description JOB TITLE: Title I Campus Coach WAGE/HOUR STATUS: Exempt REPORTS TO: Middle School Principal PAY GRADE: 820/830 DEPT./SCHOOL: Campus DATE REVISED: 05/17/16 PRIMARY PURPOSE: Provide instructional leadership by working with classroom teachers and campus teams to increase student achievement. QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Certification: Master’s Degree (preferred) Teacher certified and highly qualified to meet state and federal guidelines Special Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of Plano ISD curriculum and implementation of instruction Ability to interpret data and evaluation instructional programs Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Experience: Three years of teaching experience in area of assignment (preferred) Experience with integration of technology in the instructional program (preferred) Experience developing staff development programs and training teachers (preferred) MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Responsible for the organization and operation of work within the area of supporting students and staff working with atrisk students following federal program guidelines and as directed by the district (as specified in Title I, Part A, 100%). Support teachers in mastering and using exemplary instructional practices by staying current on research to increase high yield instructional strategies implemented in the classroom. Support implementation of district curriculum through classroom observations and participation in team planning meetings Identify patterns and trends in student performance; instructional practices; and campus, teacher, and team strengths and areas for growth. Assist teachers in analyzing assessment results and planning accordingly. Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other required documents required by the campus or district. Build capacity to maximize opportunities for campus support by working alongside district instructional specialists. Professional Growth and Development: Develop needed professional skills appropriate to job assignment. Demonstrate behavior that is professional, ethical, and responsible and serve as a role model for all district staff. Follow all rules, regulations, and policies of Plano ISD and follow directives from superiors. Follow attendance policy as assigned by supervisor. Perform other functions that may be assigned by the Administration and/or supervisor. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None WORKING CONDITIONS: Mental Demands: Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written); ability to instruct; maintain emotional control under stress. Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Some district wide and / or statewide travel; occasional prolonged and irregular hours. Work with frequent interruptions. Frequent standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, pushing and pulling. Prolonged use of computer and repetitive hand motions. Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
