rumors began to circulate that this
new fraternity, RKO, was not really
new after all but was the result
of an insidious plot by API to establish a farm team.
If this is true, God forbid, then
we can easily imagine what will
happen. In time, every fraternity
will have its own farm team and
the entire structure of IFC will resemble that of Major League Baseball.
The following are excerpts from
the minutes of an IFC meeting
sometime in the future. By this
time such practices a s : interfraternity trading, drafting, and
subsidization of high school students will be firmly established

week's meeting''
SFCY.: Commissioner Villi opened the meeting at 7:30. The minutes were read and the meeting
was declared open for old business.
SPS again requested permission to
establish a new franchise. After a
brief discussion the topic was retabled until the next week. RKO
then refused API's offer of ten veterans, and three political losers for
one weight lifter. YMCA turned
down KC's offer of five waiters,
three hoarse Statesmen, and a
campus king for nine baseball
players. This ended old business.
New business: YMCA asked for
a decision on whether it was legal
for Rocky Quisling to refuse to play
for them after they had bought
him from SPS for an undisclosed
sum. The topic was tabled pending
further research. API then offered
two crooked score keepers and a
retired stage - manager f or the
YMCA rail. SPS then offered their
whole fraternity for a new franchise and a case of Hedricks. Both
trades were rejected by the council. One trade did go through, however, concerning faculty advisors.
SI'S accepted KC's offer of five biology professors for three English
professors after they threw in two
gallons of wine. The meeting was
adjourned at 7:15 and the representatives all went drinking. Respectively submitted, etc.

Laughs and tears are in store for the listening audience as the M U D speakers take the
m podium and express their natural reactions to being members of their classes. Natural, yes,
j and when State students are natural and all their innate talent appears before an anticipated full house in Page — well?
Secret, hush, MUM's (not MUD) the word after Senate so talently selected the most
talented people in the school to surprise the audience with laughs, wit and even Senior sentimentality. Who are the Speakers? As usual, the newsboard knows the news before its

printed but see, we can keep secrets too. The freshmen send us the goddess "Laodonitca"
; who resides at State under the title, Rosanne Ferrara. We all saw her act in the Frosh

Planned
At 8:00 tomorrow evening, a
banquet will be held in the Mark
Twain Room of the Tom Sawyer

banquet, the formal will be held
in the Mississippi Room with the
music of the Henry Torgan Orchestra. The long APA tradition
of formal attire for the brothers
will be upheld again this year.
