JOB SUMMARY: To provide coordination for the development and implementation of education
programs related to the delivery of academic and support services at a major military installation utilizing
available district resources.

1.
Serve as a liaison between the Transmountain Campus Deans and the Fort Bliss
Education Center.
2.
Make recommendations to the Transmountain Campus Deans regarding course
offerings during the schedule building process.

3.
Disseminate relevant information to the Transmountain Campus Deans regarding
the Fort Bliss Center.

4.
Coordinate with the district bookstore, student activities office, ISC and media
center to provide services on Fort Bliss.
15%
5.
Ensure the facilities at the Fort Bliss Education Center are adequate for instruction
and make recommendations for improvements, if needed.

6.
Make recommendations for advertising and recruitment for the soldiers and their
dependent on Fort Bliss.
10%
7.
Attend official military functions and meeting held at the Fort Bliss Education
Center, when EPCC presence is requested.

8.
Generate and submit relevant reports to the Transmountain Campus Dean.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Dean, Math, Occupational Education and Science.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree
EXPERIENCE: Four (4) years experience in an education setting.

SPECIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1.
Skills/Abilities: Ability to successfully plan, schedule and coordinate multiple activities,
excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to work independently with
minimal supervision.
2.
Equipment Used: Personal Computer and other equipment associated with an office
environment.
3.
Software Used: A variety of spreadsheet, word-processing, database, e-mail, and presentation
software.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Duties require little physical effort in work with light (up to 10lbs), easy to handle materials.
Duties performed causes light fatigue of eyes, fingers, or other faculties due to long periods of
standing, sitting, and/or repetitive motion.
INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:
Alternative or combined skills in understanding, counseling, and/or influencing people are
important in achieving job objectives, causing action, understanding others, or changing behavior;
and, skills of persuasiveness or assertiveness, as well as sensitivity to the point of view of others.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Job is performed in general office or comparable working area with occasional distractions such as
noise, interruptions, or congested work areas with exposure to some disagreeable elements.
