All District Employees and Contractors
Pregnancy Counseling
All employees acting within the scope of their employment and contractors authorized to enter
school premises for the purpose of interaction with students of the district shall not become involved
in obtaining an abortion for any district student. The board expects and requires all of its
employees and contractors to abide by Pennsylvania and Federal law with respect to pregnancy,
parental rights, and abortion control legislation. Further, it shall be the policy of the board to
encourage parental involvement in all student decisions relating to pregnancy to the extent required
or permissible under State and Federal law. Any violation of this policy shall be considered a
serious matter by the North Penn School District. Any employee who, while acting within the scope
of his/her employment, is determined to have violated this policy shall be disciplined as permitted
under applicable employment contracts or the collective bargaining agreements.
