SUPERINTENDENT’S REPORT – March 21, 2013
Teachers of the Year
I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the six teachers who have been
selected to represent the Rose Tree Media School District in the PA Teacher of the Year
competition.
It is unprecedented to have six teachers from one school district move on to the semi-final
round of competition but, more importantly, it is a wonderful testimony to the quality of our
professional staff. I know that each of these semi-finalists would be the first to tell you
that they credit a team of teachers, staff, parents and children for their professional
success.
Effective teachers are the number one influence on the success of our students and
therefore the number one influence on the success of a school and a district.
The status of our District can be and should be credited to effective professional
educators such as those presented tonight for recognition.
