NORTH PENN HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
COMPETE IN VOCAB BOWL
WHO? Eleventh grade students from North Penn High School
WHAT? Eleventh grade students at North Penn High School will participate in a Vocab
Bowl, a scholarly competition that is exclusively designed to challenge and delight students.
The Vocab Bowl provides an opportunity for academic competition that showcases
knowledge while reinforcing the importance of vocabulary in everyday life. Students
participate in both team and individual competitions, testing and showcasing their
knowledge of vocabulary and reading/writing skills.
The opportunity is being funded by the NPSD Educational Foundation, a non-profit
organization that works to support the students and staff. The mission of the North Penn
Educational Foundation is to motivate and inspire students in the North Penn School District
through innovative projects and learning experiences.
WHEN/WHERE? The competition will begin at 9:15 a.m. on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 in
the auditorium at North Penn High School, located at 1340 Valley Forge Road in Lansdale.
