Today in the emerging global knowledge economy, the purpose of education is to empower the child to learn and grow as an individual. The need of the hour is to help our children become independent thinkers and develop integrated personalities. HERE, at Bal Bharati, we impart education with a deep and visible commitment to excellence in education. An education that allows every child to grow at their own pace. A plethora of activities are conducted throughout the year to enable the children to discover their interest and aptitude and to excel at them.

The school motto ‘Hanso Nayatu Naha Pragyaam – soaring towards the achievement of ultimate wisdom – is a vivid reflection of our vision and commitment.

Today, education must go beyond the classroom and the text book – life skills are an important and integral part of education and the school is committed to this dimension. Our Annual Day Celebrations are one such effort through which we inculcate confidence, communication skills, expression, creativity, team work and so much more. It is a platform to develop and unravel the tremendous talent possessed by our children. The writing of the senior ballet scripts, composing the lyrics of the theme song, visualization of the circus and the doll house, the recording, the choreography, the properties and sets – all have been done by the students and the staff. Today, you will see over 2500 students share the stage. This is the essence of real education.

Ladies and gentlemen, Bal Bharati, Pitampura has accomplished so much in the past few years and has grown from strength to strength. For this, in all humility, I take this opportunity to thank some very special people without whom these achievements could not have been possible - Sh. L.R. Channa ,

President – Child Education Society and Chairman – Managing committee of the school for motivating us towards making each tomorrow better than today.

I thank Dr. V.K. Ahuja, Vice President – C.E.S

., Ms. Rekha Sharma, Secretary/Manager of the school and Mr. L.V Sehgal, Joint Secretary, Child Education Society .

71

I thank all the members of the Child Education Society, members of the Managing Committee of the school and my fellow Principals from Bal Bharati Schools and beyond. Their constant guidance has been our strength. I thank every parent of the school for their constant support. I thank the entire staff, teaching and non-teaching, for it is they who work tirelessly, yet joyfully, to keep the school on the path of excellence. And above all, I thank every child of the school for it is their efforts that become our achievements, and their achievements are our pride.

Today, Bal Bharati Public School, Pitampura is synonymous with holistic education – a place where students evolve into responsible individuals with confidence in their abilities and potential, a strong faith in themselves and the conviction to realize their dreams and to take the road less travelled. Let us all together work towards this ‘man making’ education for our children giving them a happy home and a happy school.

I conclude with this couplet composed by our staff and echoed by our children.
