Intern Associate Producer

Solo Collective Theatre is an award-winning Vancouver company founded in 2000.
Our mandate is to produce new plays examining the nature of relationships in a
contemporary context with an emphasis on the strange, humorous, and gently tragic
moments in our interpersonal lives. Our focus is on actor and text, with minimal design
elements chosen to support the work. Solo Collective’s evenings of theatre are engaging,
intimate and original.
Description:
• Implement social media strategy leading up to main stage production and staged
reading
• Proofread and give feedback on all marketing materials for the production
• Assist in shooting and edit a short promo trailer for production
• Recruit/schedule and manage volunteers for production
• Give feedback to dramaturge during workshops and stage readings
• Help launch a matching campaign fundraiser and compose thank you letters to all
donors.
• Organize Solo Collective’s computer filing system
• Conduct 3 video interviews and post them on You Tube and Vimeo
• Work front of house/box office for the staged reading
• Assist in writing newsletters and website content
• Attend openings nights and networking events
• Arrange/schedule auditions
• Regular email correspondence between artists and staff
• Assist in fundraising campaigns such as Indiegogo and donor matching campaign
• Make thank you phone calls or emails to donors Artistic and Professional
Development
• Feedback on scripts from Aaron Bushkowsky
• Participating in dramaturgical workshops and script reading
• Attend Networking Events
• Exposure to the grant-writing process as well as drafting individual project grant
• Professional Marketing and Publicity experience and mentorship

• Theatre and/or Administration
