Ng Kai Koon Director, Government Affairs, Asia Pacific and Japan at Symantec Singapore Ng Kai Koon is the Director, Government Affairs, Asia Pacific and Japan at Symantec. He is in charge of representing Symantec in presentations to Asia-­‐
Pacific Governments and international organisations on a wide range of issues, such as cyber security, sectorial development and growth, standards and international trade. Kai Koon represents Symantec before government agencies, and international organizations, advising on public policy issues, focusing on IT Security, data privacy and protection and critical infrastructure protection. Prior to joining Symantec, Kai Koon served as a Manager with the Industry Development Group of the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA), where he was responsible for the development and execution of programs and policies to grow Singapore's IT sector in key growth segments, such as Cloud Computing, Business Analytics and IT Security. Kai Koon began his career in 1998 as a Project Manager with Singapore's Defence Science and Technology Agency's Air Platform Group, where he managed technology and transformation projects for the Republic of Singapore Air Force's fleet of fighter jets. In 2006, he joined the Supreme Court of Singapore's Computer and Information System Division, with responsibilities over the implementation and operations of the Singapore Judiciary's key IT systems. Kai Koon holds a Bachelor of Science with Honours, majoring in Computer Science, from the University of Tasmania, Australia.
