discovery
During this Program You Will:
Explore current and future discovery rules and their
impact on e-discovery
Learn techniques technologists employ to find electronic information
Discuss the types of information available for discovery and the
formats in which you can obtain electronic documents
Describe how cost-shifting can impact expenses
the program
Electronic discovery is a hot topic in litigation today. The Federal Rules of Civil Procedure
have been amended to clarify how e-discovery should be handled and issues regarding what
evidence is discoverable are currently being litigated in courtrooms across the country.
From the laws and rules you need to know to the practical and technical information you
should understand, this program is designed to keep you up-to-date on legal developments
in e-discovery. Issues, important to both litigators and transactional attorneys alike, abound
in this developing area of the law. E-discovery comprises the future of legal practice and is a
topic you need to understand.
Once You Leave This Program, You Will Have Answers
to the Following Questions:
• Why should you be concerned about e-discovery?
• What information can you obtain through e-discovery?
• How do you go about getting information both technologically
and through the judicial system?
• How do you use the evidence you acquire through e-discovery?
