Explain the purpose for this proposal:
1. To change the course title from "Commercial Recreation and Tourism" to "Entrepreneurial Approaches to Leisure and
Hospitality Services." to better reflect the nature of the course to be mroe entrepreneurial. 2. To make this course an RPTM
core requirement. 3. To remove the course's prerequisite for ease of registration for other students who would benefit from
the knowledge. The content from the current prereq is not needed in this course. 4. To update content outline;
reorganization but no major changes.

The proposal adds to the program's core requirement. Students in the major will need to complete this course in order to
graduate. General electives will be reduced, where necessary, to maintain total credits for graduation at 121.
