Location

• The Kent Campus is composed of 866 beautifully landscaped acres in the mid-size town of Kent,

Ohio (population 28,000), surrounded by the major metropolitan areas of Cleveland, Akron, Canton and

Youngstown.

• The Kent State University Airport and Golf Course are located nearby.

• Regional Campuses include: Ashtabula, East Liverpool,

Geauga (Burton and Twinsburg), Salem, Stark

(Canton), Trumbull (Warren), and Tuscarawas (New

Philadelphia).

• The Kent Campus is home to 23,328 undergraduate students; 13,776 are female and 9,552 are male.

Living on Campus

• On the Kent Campus, more than 6,300 students live in 25 residence halls. All are coed either by floor or wing.

• More than 20 eateries are located on campus, including four dining halls.

Scholarships and Financial Aid

• To be considered for freshman scholarships, incoming freshmen must submit a complete admissions application by Jan. 15, 2016.

Enforcement Agencies (CALEA).

Admissions Policy

• Freshman admission at the Kent Campus is selective.

• Admission decisions are based on the following: cumulative grade point average, ACT and/or SAT scores, strength of high school college preparatory curriculum and grade trends.

Admissions Timeline

• Thanksgiving: Recommended date for submitting admissions application. We recommend applying online.

• Jan. 15: Deadline to submit admissions application to be considered for freshman scholarships.

• Feb. 15: Priority deadline to submit the FAFSA to the federal processor.

• March 1: Deadline to submit a freshman application for fall 2016.

• May 1: Deadline to confirm your place in the freshman class for fall 2016.
