Exploring & Applying for the OMIC Immersion Internship Program Finding internship opportunities and creating an account only takes five to ten minutes once your supporting documents (i.e. resume) are ready. Below are steps to find and apply for OMIC internships specifically and to ensure that your supporting documents are employer-­‐ready. Step By Step Process 1) Go to https://experience.kent.edu/. Enter your Flashline username and password. 2) Upload your critiqued resume, cover letter, etc. If you need assistance putting your document(s) together, please view samples and helpful tips at http://www.kent.edu/career/jobs/resume/index.cfm. Career Counselors are available through the Career Services Center by either visiting during drop-­‐in hours (M-­‐F 11 to 12:30 and 2 to 4) or by calling 330-­‐672-­‐2360 to make an appointment. To upload your document(s) hover your cursor over the word documents in the black navigation bar at the top of the page. Select Upload a Document. Select document type and then click next. Click browse and select your document from your computer, flashdrive, etc., and then click upload. Your document(s) must be uploaded in order for your account with the Experience Job & Internship Board to be complete and for you to apply for opportunities. 3) To view available internships in the OMIC Immersion Internship Program, select the toggle button next to Internship located under Jobs & Internships. In the Keywords search box, type in “OMIC” and then click search. Place cursor over the internship title in blue to read a brief description or click on the title to get full details. 4) To apply for internship, scroll to bottom of page of the full internship description, note which documents are required to apply and select Apply.
