CORELITE DESCRIPTION The Corelite Class R2R Retrofit is designed to replace the core "lighting engine" of dated and inefficient recessed luminaires, while leaving the existing metal luminaire body intact. The total watts per luminaire can be reduced between 30 and 40 percent while improving the overall lighting quality and visual character of the interior space. The Class R2R is extremely low in profile with a 3" overall height, allowing for retrofit of shallow 3" lensed troffers. In addition to the energy cost reduction and improved lighting conditions, the Class R2R's 80%+ luminaire efficiency meets the requirements of many major rebate programs across the US. Type Catalog # Project Date Comments Prepared by SPECIFICATION FEATURES Construction Three-piece retrofit assembly consists of a ballast/bracket assembly, reflector and lens. Ballast/bracket assembly and reflector each have captive zinc-plated self-drilling hardware. Mounting brackets are pre-paint white 20-gauge die-formed steel. Reflector is one piece die-formed aluminum with a matte white powder coat painted finish. Ballast is pre-wired to factory installed sockets on each mounting bracket with the ballast/bracket assembly. 3" low-profile assembly will retrofit into both parabolics and troffers. Finish Reflector is matte white powder coat painted finish. Ballast brackets are pre-paint white with white semi-gloss finish. Electrical Ballast is fully tested and pre-wired to factory installed sockets within the ballast/bracket assembly, and comes with captive self-drilling hardware and integral quick disconnects. T5/T5HO fixtures use UL listed Class P, T5/T5HO program rapid start universal voltage electronic ballasts, with pre-installed quick disconnect. Standard Ballast Factor of 1.0 and Power Factor of 98%. Mounting First, existing lamps, reflectors, lenses, ballast covers, ballast and socket trays must be removed from existing luminaire. Next, the ballast/bracket assembly is installed by first mounting the ballast to the top of the existing luminaire, then by attaching the mounting brackets. The reflector then mounts to the ballast/bracket assembly, and finally lamps and lenses are installed. Shielding Luminaire lens is UV resistant acrylic with an optically designed prism structure, which diffuses lamp image and provides high light transmission and luminaire efficiency (80%+). NOTE: Fit Compatibility Retrofit kit fits most troffers. The end-user is responsible for verifying fit. Therefore, a sample kit is highly recommended.
