Students are able to understand the relevance of psychological concepts and perspectives to understanding and explaining thoughts, emotions and behavior, and applying that knowledge to real-world settings. Students are encouraged to use the elective courses in the minor to complement their major area of study as psychology is relevant for many careers, including nursing, business, teaching, biology, human services, justice studies and sociology.
