Research Fund
Support for faculty, undergraduate and graduate nursing students
conducting IRB approved research to expand the knowledge base of
issues experienced by informal caregivers providing care to family
members with life-threatening diseases who are receiving palliative and/or
terminal care in the home setting.
The Center for Nursing Research has been the nucleus of research for the college since 1991.
Although the center acquires most of their funding through external grants, internal funding is also
essential to developing innovative research that may improve patient and systematic outcomes.

Scholarship
Support to encourage students who have demonstrated the capacity to
achieve educational and professional goals; the motivation to achieve
these goals; and initiative to seek opportunities to further their
progress. Funds will be awarded to sophomore-level nursing students with
a GPA of 3.0 or higher for tuition, fees, books, and room and board.

Conference Fund
Support for undergraduate nursing students to attend professional nursing
association meetings. Funds can be used for registration fees and
conference-related expenses.

graduate students with a minimum GPA of 3.7 who demonstrate research
interest or who have an established research background.

Support for a nontraditional student with high academic performance who
demonstrates leadership on campus.

participate in a rigorous educational travel program. This scholarship
covers tuition, fees, books and supplies, room and board, and travel
expenses.

Support for tuition, fees, room and board, or books for a junior-level
nursing student with a GPA of 3.0 who has demonstrated outstanding
performance in clinical nursing.
