NİHAT OKTAY
Nihat Oktay was born in Yozgat-Çekerek in 1971, and he is stil Vice President of Turksat A.Ş. In previous
years, he held top-level management position on Market Research and Development, Marketing and
Sales also he carried out important tasks such as Turksat 3A Agreement Representation, also Oktay
managed important operations on Sales, Marketing, Finance and Satellite broadcasting between 2004
and 2007. Especially between 2000 to 2004 he held managerial tasks in the private sector. Between the
years 1993-2000 Oktay held a number of academic studies at the Afyon Kocatepe University Faculty of
Economics and Administrative Sciences. In addition, he worked as a consultant in one of foreign trade
company within USA, IFC World Bank.
Nihat Oktay has made his master degree in Institute of Technology from the Stuart School of Busines in
Chicago, USA and, his bachelors degree in Business Department in Economic and Administrative
Sciences Faculty of the Anadolu University, also he has made doctoral studies in Fiance in Business
School in the University of Kentucky, Lexington, USA. In addition, he participated in many seminars and
conferences on academic and professional work experience in related fields, particularly management
and organization, finance, satellite communications and cable TV broadcasting. In his private life Oktay
interests in reading and research in areas such as economy and communications sector. Nihat Oktay is
married and has three children.
