Marc Rouanne Head of the Radio Access Business Unit at Nokia Siemens Networks Marc Rouanne is head of the Radio Access business at Nokia Siemens Networks. He previously headed the Convergence Business Group of Alcatel-Lucent, prior to which he was in charge of Alcatel’s Mobile Communications activities. Marc has rich experience, having over 20 years of international management experience in the telecommunications industry. Previous to Alcatel, he worked at Matra Communications and later Nortel Matra Cellular developing GSM products. He was part of the early team creating GSM in the 1980s. Marc has worked in joint ventures and mergers for many years; in Nortel Matra Cellular, Alcatel Fujitsu’s Evolium joint venture, which he headed, and Alcatel-Lucent. Born in 1963, Marc holds an Engineering degree in Signal Processing from Supélec and is a graduate in computer science from Université d’Orsay, Paris, France. Additionally he holds a PhD in Information Theory from University of Notre Dame, Indiana, USA.
