Dimitris KATSIANIS (dkats@di.uoa.gr) received the Informatics degree, the M.Sc. in Signal Processing and Computational Systems and the Phd in methodologies for design and analyse telecommunication networks with techno-economic criteria from the University of Athens, Dept. of Informatics and Telecommunications. He is a research fellow with the Optical Communications Group, University of Athens, participating in several European R&D projects. He has worked as an expert scientific advisor for OTE S.A. (Hellenic Telecom) in networking aspects concerning simulation of ATM networks, Management in an Optical network and Telecommunication Investment Analysis, participating in several Eurescom projects. He is also a consulting partner with several firms in the field of techno-economic & network design studies, participating in numerous ACTS and IST projects. His research interests include broadband communications and methodology of network design with techno-economic aspects. He has more than 30 publications in journa ls and conferences in the field of techno-economics and telecommunication network design and he serves as a reviewer in journals and conferences.
